The Lord-Lieutenants, the Queen’s permanent representative for each of the Welsh Countues presented their annual Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates to members of the Reserve Forces, Service Cadets and Associated Civilians employees during February and March this year.

The Certificate awarded to Adults records the Lord-Lieutenant’s Grateful Recognition of the Outstanding Service and Devotion to Duty. The Certificate Awarded to members of the Cadet Forces is Recognition of the Individual Cadet’s Performance as one of the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets over the previous year.

At each Award Ceremony, the Lord-Lieutenant announces the names of those who are to be his Lord-Lieutenant Cadets for 2010. Each Lord-Lieutenant has a number of cadets every year who are nominated by the Sea Cadets Corps, the Army Cadet Force and the Air Training Corps for their outstanding contribution to their respective cadets units.

The Lord-Lieutenant's Cadets support each of the Lord-Lieutenants on special occasions such as Royal Visits, Remembrance Parades and other civic events. Scroll down this page to see a series of pictures taken to commemorate each of this year's Award Ceremonies.
