Royal Signal soldiers operate a large range of communications equipments from small tactical radios to large satellite dishes linking continents and passing large amounts of information.

The Corps uses some of the most advanced technology in the world today - whether you are a trained technician, an operator, a member of an implementation or maintenance team or an officer co-ordinating operations.

53 (Wales & Western) Signal Squadron is located in a modern TA Centre on the edge of Cardiff Bay with two Troops based in Cardiff and one in Stratford upon Avon.

The Squadron is part of 37 Signal Regiment based in Redditch with the present role to provide communications for UK operations.

The Royal Signals is the Army's global network meeting the communication and IT needs of the entire Army worldwide.
