Recovery Mechanics are highly skilled drivers and recovery equipment operators, specialising in the recovery of tracked and wheeled vehicles back to a location where they can be repaired.

They are experts in the application of elementary mechanics to estimate the pull required to recover ditched, bogged or overturned vehicles.  They come equipped with block and tackle layouts, cranes and some of the biggest and best recovery vehicles in the world.
Recovery Mechanics are required to operate under battle conditions by day or night and this demands a high standard of teamwork.  119 Recovery Company prides itself on the high standard of reservists attracted to this profession.
